This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on our English-language website (mooncorn.com.tr/en). Our Privacy Policy explains everything else about how we handle personal data.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include pixels, tags and local storage. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.
2. The cookie notice on our website
When you first visit our website, a notice tells you that we use cookies. Clicking "OK" closes the notice. Our website does not currently offer a tool for choosing cookies by category. You can control cookies at any time using the options in section 5.
3. Cookies we use
- Strictly necessary: cookies set by our e-commerce platform, ikas, for your session, basket, checkout, language and currency, and for security. The website cannot work properly without them. Most are deleted when you close your browser or after a short period.
- Analytics, Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): distinguish visitors and measure how the website is used. Kept for up to 2 years.
- Analytics, Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk): show how visitors interact with our pages, for example clicks and scrolling, so that we can improve the website. _clck is kept for up to 1 year and _clsk for 1 day.
- Advertising, Google Ads (_gcl_au): measures which of our Google ads lead to visits and orders. Kept for 90 days.
- Advertising, Meta Pixel (_fbp): measures our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and helps show our ads to relevant people. Kept for 90 days.
Providers may change the names and lifetimes of their cookies when they update their services.
4. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies are used to provide the service you ask for and to keep the website secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c) and (f)). Analytics and advertising cookies are used on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used and in measuring our advertising (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)). You can object to this at any time, as described below.
5. How to control cookies
- Browser settings: you can see, block or delete cookies in the privacy or site data settings of your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect your session or basket.
- Google Analytics: you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Google advertising: you can manage ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com.
- Meta: you can manage your ad preferences, including your activity off Meta technologies, in the settings of your Facebook or Instagram account.
- Objection: you can object to our use of analytics and advertising cookies, or ask any question about them, by emailing [email protected].
6. Third parties and international transfers
Google, Meta and Microsoft also process the data collected by their cookies under their own privacy policies and may process it outside your country, including in the United States. Transfers are handled as described in section 5 of our Privacy Policy.
7. Your rights and changes
Your rights, and how to use them, are set out in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
When the cookies we use or the purposes for which we use them change, we update this policy and change the date at the top of this page.
